The FCPS Elementary Art Show, which dates back nearly 30 years, is moving to a new venue this spring: the Lexington Public Library on Main Street. In the second-floor atrium, teachers will display children’s artwork from kindergarten through fifth grade, providing a sample of their students’ talents and hard work.
“It is a wonderful time to see the personality of each school’s art program and the wonderful skills of our district’s youngest artists,” said Megan Dunsil of James Lane Allen Elementary, who organized the exhibit.
The show will be up for two weeks, March 11-24, which includes the March 18 downtown Gallery Hop. Previous art show locations were the fountain area outside Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington Green, Fayette Mall, and the old Lexington Mall.
